Meet an innoFaither: Sarah Hansman
Meet Sarah Hansman, a doctoral student in theological ethics at Boston College, hospital chaplain at Boston Medical Center-Brighton, and a prison minister. Sarah is passionate about bringing together the worlds of theology, ministry, and community organizing. Her interests include the role of imagination in shaping moral agency and lay authority especially as it pertains to sex and gender, immigration, politics, and carceral justice.
Meet an innoFaither: Francesca Reznik
Meet Francesca Reznik, Program Manager at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and committed climate activist based in Boston. Influenced by both her Jewish values and her own non-theistic spiritual practice, Francesca recently completed her Master of Theological Studies at Harvard Divinity School and is focused on creating climate transition solutions that benefit everyone. Fun facts: Francesca is half Mexican and fluent in Spanish and co-founded an ecotheology fellowship while at Harvard Divinity. She is also an innoFaith Contributing Editor.
Meet an innoFaither: Lawrence Whitney
Meet Brother Lawrence Whitney, priest in the Lindisfarne community, former university chaplain, and innovator working on de-institutionalizing chaplaincy so that all people and communities have access to spiritual health resources. Larry envisions chaplaincy tapping into a variety of religious traditions to help individuals and communities connect to meaning and purpose. He’s piloting this vision in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, MA.
