  • build bridges between faith communities and the world of social innovation so that as faith communities, we can find ways to collaborate across our traditions and use our wisdom and assets to help solve today’s complex challenges.

About the role

We are looking for someone to help further and lead implementation for innoFaith’s communications strategy. This involves managing our monthly newsletter and social media accounts, creating content, researching stories and opportunities, and growing our network. It also involves strategizing and implementing regular content, events, and network engagement. There is significant creative opportunity to grow with our aspirations to build a multimedia platform for faith and social change. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communications 

    • Newsletter: Curate and manage innoFaith’s monthly newsletter, identifying stories, resources, and opportunities relevant to our community.

    • Social Media: Manage and grow innoFaith’s social media presence, creating and scheduling at least 5 posts per week across platforms such as LinkedIn and Bluesky.

    • Content Development: Research and write engaging content that highlights innovation, leadership, and social impact in faith spaces.

    • Strategy: Develop and implement new ideas for expanding innoFaith’s reach and audience engagement.

  • Programs

    • Community Engagement: Develop strategies for community-building, including organizing and supporting network meetups and online gatherings.

    • NYU Certificate Program Support: Conduct marketing outreach and support promotional material development to help expand Certificate in Faith, Innovation, and Social Impact.

    • Industry Engagement: Research, strategize, and draft proposals to increase innoFaith’s visibility and engagement at industry conferences and events.

  • Organizational Development and Operations 

    • Research and Strategy: Identify new partnership and funding opportunities and contribute ideas for growth. Support grant applications and strategic initiatives.

    • Monitoring and Evaluation: Review audience engagement metrics and survey data to inform strategy.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Passion for our vision of thriving faith communities as catalysts for a thriving world

  • Deep appreciation for faith-rooted social change and interfaith engagement

  • Curiosity about social problems and optimism about solutions

  • Excellent communication skills, especially writing, and high attention to detail

  • Creativity and innovative thinking

  • High emotional intelligence and a strong collaborative spirit

  • Self-drive to lead and thrive in a start-up context

As well as the following qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in marketing, communications, social media, community engagement

  • Project management experience and organizational skill

  • Experience in creating compelling content

  • Experience in/familiarity with the social innovation and/or faith sectors

Remote, any U.S.-based location

Rate

$40-45/hour, negotiable based on experience and work plan
